Hello there! It's the Holy Week for Roman Catholics in the Philippines right now. This means that Easter Sunday is just around the corner. Welcome back to the blog and welcome to the month of April!

Surprisingly, our April started with a series of rainshowers. A tropical storm ravaged the region, flooding rural villages and crop fields. It also caused landslides near mountain roads. We don't know the extent of the damage yet, but we're hoping that nothing else happens to increase it.
To my recollection, this is the first time that our supposedly 'summer' months opened with this much rain. Still, the show must go on despite choppy internet connections and disrupted power relays. Below, you'll read about the latest update on our manuscript, as well as the possibility of a free micro-fiction anthology.
Ann's Updates
We are currently at the two-thirds mark of our new Fantasy Romance's extended outline. And so far, the main characters' conflicts and arcs are coming along well. After completing the extended outline, I'll be going back to flesh out the rest of the characters and add details to the scenes. I'm trying out a fairly new story setting which is why I'm being more cautious by using a different writing method.
Outside this manuscript, I'm tackling other projects and writing leads. Our writing group recently launched a monthly Write-A-Thon to help sharpen our skills and techniques. I'm also compiling a bunch of short Fantasy and Folklore retellings so that everyone can read them more conveniently.
The retellings will be available online as soon as I've finished organizing them. To make sure that you don't miss out, you can tune in to our Facebook author page or join the Mailing List for updates. You can also check our Pinterest's Fantasy Books or Book Promos board for the links.
Speaking of book promos, we don't have any on the calendar yet. However, I am planning to enter some of the novels into Smashwords' Summer/Winter sale if they'll be hosting one. I'll give updates through the social sites and newsletter as well.
Ann Recommends
By some miracle, I managed to squeeze in an anime series between updating our writing socials and taking care of three kittens. It's not a revolutionary masterpiece of a show, but it has a charm that I'm sure Rom-Com lovers will enjoy.

My Senpai is Annoying is originally a Romantic Comedy manga written by Shiro Manta. It follows the story of Futaba Igarashi as she tries to control her feelings for senior coworker, Harumi Takeda. The characters are well-written and their dynamics are entertaining. Their setting and occupation as salespeople make the series relatable to a wide audience demographic. The manga is still ongoing, but the first season of the anime wrapped up with a heartwarming scene and the promise of something more.
If you're looking for something to end your hectic day with, try watching this series after dinner. Or you can binge a few of the episodes at the end of the week. It's sure to lighten your mood and get you reenergized for tomorrow's work.
That's all of our news for now. Don't forget to come back next month for more updates and recommendations. Thank you very much for your support. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read this blog. I hope you have a peaceful Holy Week. And I hope you have a happy, summery Easter Sunday.
