Hi there! Welcome to our blog for the month of March. It's been an... interesting two months since the start of 2022. Basically, there have been some unforeseen speedbumps along the way, so we might have to reconsider our plans for the year.
Updates
So here's a brief rundown of what's happened so far: I got sick with a fever for around five days in the midst of writing our third Flutterfae Brides story. By the time I recovered, I discovered a big, fat plothole that threw me off my writing streak. So I decided to shelf the manuscript for the moment and work on something else instead.
I started on another Jinni Shifter story, thinking that I might just be able to finish it before the Writer's Workshop I'm supposed to take part in. Unfortunately, three blackouts (2 of which lasted 12 hours) cut into my writing time. Only two and a half scenes have been completed so far, significantly waning my enthusiasm to finish the third scene.
So I left that too and tried to refocus on a different story concept for Flutterfae Brides. At the moment, I'm trying to get into the first scene. However, I'm also trying to earn money on the side due to a financial issue. In other words, the writing schedule I'd penned down has gone off the rails.
At this point, we have no concrete ebook release date. The stories just aren't coming together cleanly due to the interruptions that happened. My only goal at the moment is to finish at least one manuscript by July. I've already decided to take a fifteen-day leave from the internet to sort things out. You can expect me to return after the fifteenth, hopefully with some good news regarding our projects for the year.
Just stay tuned to either this blog or the Facebook author page.
In other news, our cat just gave birth to three cute kittens! They are currently doing great, and I'm hopeful that they'll stay in good health their whole lives. You'll probably see a picture of them soon on Facebook.
Recommendations
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to watch or read anything new lately. But I did listen to a bunch of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) a while back and totally remembered how much I love this song:
It's called Ulan (english, 'Rain') by Cueshe, and it's about a person who decides to let go of their love interest even though it makes them feel sad. Slow rock has always been a favorite genre of mine, because it goes so well with a wide range of themes ranging from social justice to heartbreak. Ulan is the great example of combining lyrics with melody to amplify the range and intensity of human emotions.
If you're up for it, make sure to listen to some other songs from Cueshe. They're a talented band who I feel has the talent to match the calibre of any international artist.
And that's all we have for the month of March. Hopefully, we'll have better news to look forward to in April. Thank you for stopping by, and have a great day!
