Hello everyone!
Welcome to the Fall Season blog on our website!
Yes, it's finally here. September surprisingly became a hectic month, but I managed to muddle through. That being said, thank you very much for patiently waiting for this blog post to arrive. Below, you'll find the updates to our shelved Fantasy Romance project and our novella series. We also have a section for this season's bonus content, as well as a recommendation that will surely splash lots of romance into your life.
Updates
At the start of this year, I began drafting a long, highly ambitious fantasy romance novel with elements of magic and action. Unfortunately, multiple plotholes, unexpected circumstances, and several non-fiction commissions wore down my creative juices. Nothing was coming together the way I wanted it to, so I decided sometime in August to shelve this project instead. At the moment, it's stored in a back-up folder along with last year's Werewolf Romance.
The bright side to all this is that I finally thought of enough romantic ideas to start a Fairy Tale Romance novella series. The Fairy Tomes project is something that I've been wanting to do since publishing in 2018. Now, it's finally starting to take shape, and you'll be the first to see what the covers look like, which stories they were inspired by, and who the main characters will be.
There's no fixed date as to when the first and second books will be published, but the previews of their first two chapters are available through our quarterly/seasonal newsletter. If you aren't part of the mailing list now, make sure to join so that you can receive a copy.
Giveaways
Not gonna lie, I was a little nervous about not having enough material to fill this part of the post. Luckily, a few things did manage to come out for this fall.
Firstly, we now have a new flash fiction anthology featuring original romantic fairy tales. As of the moment, there are eight entries in the Tales Untold series, each featuring carefully selected backdrops that match the text of the stories. As of the moment, six of them have been published. The remaining two will come out in the next two weeks.
Aside from these flash fiction stories, there are also two giveaways that you can get free ebooks and previews from.
The Fall Flirtations group giveaway is live from October 10 to November 14, 2022. You can access romance and erotica novels from new, upcoming, and established authors through this event. If you don't have an electronic copy of Crimsonella (Flutterfae Brides book two), now is your chance to grab one.
On the other hand, the Heavy Is The Head group giveaway is live from October 12 to November 16, 2022. Fantasy novels and previews await those who decide to visit this event's page. Here, you'll find the first edition preview of Daemon Bound, our mythical adventure romance novella.
To further spice things up, there is an active Fall Sale for two of our story titles. Those who do get a copy of Crimsonella and want to explore the first story in that series can now get Florette at a discount price. Similarly, Daemon Bound is on sale for those who want to read Nagmali and Mobula's full love story. These promos are live on all major ebook retailers, including Apple Books, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords, from October 16 to November 15, 2022.
Recommendations
We have now come to the last segment of the blog, where you'll see our recommendation of the season: Splash!
For anyone who wasn't born prior to 1984 (just like me, lol), Splash is a fantasy romance comedy film starring Tom Hanks and Daryl Hannah. The movie was directed by Ron Howard, and it tells the story of a mermaid (Daryl Hannah) who journeys to the streets of New York to find the young boy (Tom Hanks) she once saved from drowning.
Not only does it feature fun and romantic scenes between the two main characters, but it also makes use of gorgeous city shots, unique mermaid lore, and an amazing costume design in the form of Miss Hannah's mermaid tale (by Robert Short). Even after thirty-eight years, this movie has stood the test of time as one of the most entertaining romantic comedies to have ever been made.
