Fall 2023

Today's highlight: Verna's release date

It's the month of September 2023. In the Philippines, the country with the longest Christmas celebration season known to man, the malls are just starting to fill up with all sorts of decorations. But this isn't going to distract us from getting things done and creating stories for the world to read.

Welcome back to our blog! This time, there's nothing but good news for you, as we start off strong with several near-finished projects. First in line is an exciting update on book four of the Fairy Tomes of Cerulean Cove series.

Verna will be released on September 29th, 2023. When it does appear on your favorite ebook site, it'll be marked down for a week so that more people can afford it. But if you're on the mailing list, you'll receive a coupon code to get the book from Smashwords for free. You can share the code with family and friends so they, too, can enjoy the fairy tale universe that Cerulean Cove has to offer. It's to thank you and your loved ones for sticking with our writing ventures for this long. Make sure to check your emails soon after publication, because I'm sending the code through a separate newsletter to your inbox.

By the way, there's also a discount on books two and three in the series to celebrate Verna's publication. If you missed out on grabbing copies of Orelia and Rosa during the Summer/Winter Sale, you can still get them at 50% off until October 29, 2023. As always, our series starter (Marina) is free.

Next on our list of good news is a fantasy ebook giveaway on ProlificWorks! If you're looking for something new to read, we have a combined nineteen full novels and previews for free through the Hidden Worlds promo. A sample of Daemon Bound is there for anyone who hasn't read the story yet.

If you know someone who enjoys adventure stories set in a fantasy world with mythical creatures who fall in love, let them know that they might enjoy Daemon Bound. The giveaway lasts until October 15, 2023. For those who want to grab a full copy of Daemon Bound, it's 50% off until the same date on all ebook retail sites it's available at.

In other news, Gentle Green will be coming out later in the year, as long as our schedule permits it. I'm done with the first editing pass for factual and flow consistency in all the chapters. Come October, I'll be doing a second pass for tone and syntax. If things go as smoothly as I hope they will, you should see the title in stores by November. Since this story was an entry for the Open Novella Contest on Wattpad, you'll be able to grab a copy for free—no code or sign-up required!

Speaking of November, I've decided to join National Novel Writing Month with our new series called My Guardian Dear. I'm excited for this project since it will tackle my favorite kind of stories, i.e., those involving Filipino mythological creatures. The series will include four books, hopefully full-length, that share a common story arc but can stand alone too.

As NaNoWriMo goes on, you'll get updates on Facebook, see reference graphics on Pinterest (I'll dedicate a new board to this), and read the raw draft on Wattpad.

Our former social media schedule is making a comeback as well. Dad's doing a whole lot better since coming home from the hospital, so our routine has gradually improved too. You can expect weekend updates on Facebook and Pinterest, as well as new chapters on our writing sites except Commaful. Bookbub reviews will come out at the end of every month now, so make sure to follow my profile there to see what I was recently reading.

As for what I've been listening to lately, you'll find it in our recommendation section.

Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin, performed by Danilo Santos

Since we're expecting a Filipino mythos story for Nano, we're obviously going to see lots of references to local images, flora, fauna, and, of course, music. The title of this song by Danilo Santos translates to "You Are Everything To Me," and it's about a person who's telling someone how much they love them. It's an older kundiman (translated, "love song") that follows the slow, gentle melody notable of its era. Fun fact: one of Guardian Dear's characters canonically has the same singing voice as Mr. Santos. You'll find out which one it is by November.

That's all we have for now. Thank you again for checking out our blog posts and other writing sites. Thank you so much for the well-wishes and words of encouragement. As always, I'll keep working hard to give you content that you can love and enjoy. Have a great day!
