January 2022 Updates

Updates to the website, what to expect this new year, and something fun to watch from way back when.

Happy New Year, guys! Welcome to 2022, and welcome back to the blog. I hope you had a lot of fun celebrating the holidays. The second half of our month got rather hectic because we had to manage the family's seasonal business. But now that things are settling down, we can finally get back to the manuscripts.

Updates

First of all, the website has been updated with a Featured section! There, you'll see the promotional images of our latest releases (Choosing Eternity, Leopardized, Crimsonella) beneath a statement announcing their publishing date. Our first three titles for the year are already there.  Direct links will be added as soon as they are live on their corresponding ebook distribution platforms. If you're interested in helping spread the word about them, you can repost the images by using the share function on your phone or right-clicking and copying the image address. Our new titles have also been listed in the website's Books section, along with the taglines that go with each one.

As for the books, Choosing Eternity and Crimsonella are already finished. Leopardized is undergoing some minor revisions which will hopefully finish by Monday. The sudden frenzy brought about by our family business significantly slowed its editing process, but now it's picking up again. On the bright side, you still have time to sign up for the mailing list and receive Read & Review copies of these stories. Our January newsletter will be coming out on the fifteenth, so if you're interested in this opportunity, make sure to subscribe before then.

With every new year that comes along, we can't help but hope for a fresh start, a second chance, or a new opportunity. But that doesn't mean we can't appreciate the old or what has gone by. That includes past books, music, and shows that have entertained us.

Recently, I rewatched an anime series from 2015 called Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches. It's a light-hearted Romantic Comedy, based on a manga written by Mishi Yoshikawa, that features a concept rarely found in TV series nowadays. It's well-animated and well-acted, and it shows kisses. Lots and lots of kisses. Best of all, the romantic arc actually has a resolution! (It's something that most Romance anime don't really get to until the following seasons, if they ever get any.)

So if you feel like your 2022 isn't going off to a great start, or if you want to make sure that it does, maybe give this series a try. It has enough heartwarming (and "heart-fluttering") scenes that will make you wish you had seen it earlier. And if you have seen it before, then who says you can't watch it again?

There you have it, guys! Our first blog article of the new year and of many more to come. Thank you very much for sticking with me througout 2021. Thank you for going through the highs and lows of the publishing world with me and for giving me the honor of writing for you. I hope that 2022 will be the year you make your dreams come true and receive many blessings. See you next time, and happy reading!
